Solar panels turn sunshine into electricity, and the UAE has plenty of it. The right system can lower the bill for a building that runs in the day, or supply a site that has no mains connection.
GTECH designs and installs solar for three situations: rooftop systems connected to the grid, off-grid and hybrid systems with batteries, and small solar kits for cameras, wireless links and barriers.

The three types of system
Grid-connected rooftop systems feed your building during the day. They suit villas, offices, warehouses and factories with a steady daytime load. Any extra is handled by the rules of your emirate's utility.
Off-grid and hybrid systems add batteries. They supply farms, camps, remote compounds and other places with no reliable grid, and they can keep key equipment running when the grid goes down.
Solar kits for equipment are small panel and battery packs that run a time-lapse camera, a CCTV pole, a wireless link or a gate barrier where no mains supply exists.
UAE heat lowers panel output, and dust lowers it further. We include these losses in the design, so the figures we give you are realistic.
Who it suits
- Villa and home owners
- Offices, shops and commercial buildings
- Warehouses and factories with large roofs
- Farms, camps and remote compounds
- Construction sites without a mains supply
- Sites with off-grid cameras or wireless links
What we supply and install
- Rooftop solar systems: Panels, inverters and protection for homes and commercial buildings.
- Off-grid and hybrid systems: Arrays with batteries and controllers for remote sites and backup.
- Solar kits for equipment: Panel and battery sets for cameras, wireless links and barriers.
- Mounting and safety: Roof or ground mounts, earthing, surge protection and safe cabling.
- Monitoring: Output and fault monitoring on your phone or computer.
- Cleaning and checks: A schedule to keep panels clean and the system healthy.
How a project runs
- Site survey: We check your bills or equipment load, and survey the roof or land for strength, direction and shade.
- Proposal: You get the system size, the expected output, the connection steps and a clear price.
- Installation: We mount the panels, install the inverter and any batteries, then test and commission.
- Handover and support: You receive documents and monitoring access, and we agree a cleaning and inspection plan.

Frequently Asked Questions
How big a system do I need?
We size it from your electricity bills, or from the equipment you want to run, and from the space available. The proposal shows the size and the output we expect.
Do I need approval to connect solar to the grid?
Connected systems need approved equipment and an application to the utility. Rules differ between emirates, and we guide you through yours.
Will dust and heat affect the panels?
Yes, a little. We design for these losses and agree a cleaning schedule to keep output steady.
Can solar run my cameras and gates on a remote site?
Yes. Small solar kits with batteries are made for this and are used on many construction sites and perimeters.
