Cabling is the part of a network you rarely see, and the part that is hardest to fix once the walls are closed. Done well, it serves your building for many years. Done badly, it causes slow connections and random faults that are painful to trace.
GTECH installs structured cabling for offices, warehouses, schools and other buildings. Every point is labelled, tested and recorded, so your IT team knows exactly what runs where.
Send us your floor plan or invite us for a visit. We will count the points and send you a clear quote.

What structured cabling means
Structured means organised. Instead of loose cables run wherever was convenient, the building has a planned layout: wall points in each room, cables running back to a central rack, and a patch panel that connects everything.
That one layout carries computers, phones, cameras, access control and Wi-Fi access points. When you move a desk or add a camera, you patch a different port. You do not pull new cable.
We use copper cable for most connections and fibre for longer runs between floors or buildings. We choose the cable grade based on the speeds you need now and the equipment you may add later.
When the work is done, every cable is tested and you get a record of the results.
Who it suits
- New offices and fit-outs
- Buildings with old or untidy cabling
- Warehouses and factories adding cameras and Wi-Fi
- Schools and colleges
- Businesses moving to a new location
- Sites installing CCTV, access control or IP phones
What we supply and install
- Copper and fibre cabling: Cable of the right grade for each run, installed in trunking, conduit or ceiling trays.
- Wall outlets and patch panels: Clean finish in every room, with matching ports at the rack.
- Racks and cabinets: Floor or wall racks with tidy cable management.
- Labelling: Every cable and port marked at both ends.
- Testing and records: Test results for each cable and an updated plan of the layout.
- Repair and tidy-up: Fixing damaged runs and sorting out old cabinets.
How a project runs
- Site survey: We walk the building, count the points you need and plan the cable routes.
- Proposal: You get a layout, a list of materials and a price, with a timetable that suits your working hours.
- Installation: We run the cable, fit outlets and panels, label everything and test each run.
- Handover: You receive the test results and layout records, and we stay on hand for changes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you work in an office we are still using?
Yes. We plan noisy and disruptive work for evenings or weekends, and keep the areas where people work as clear as we can.
Should we choose Cat6 or fibre?
Copper cable suits most desks, phones and cameras. Fibre suits long runs and the links between floors or buildings. We recommend a mix after the survey.
Will new cabling work with the equipment we have?
Yes. Cabling is not tied to a brand. It works with any network equipment that matches the grade.
Do you supply the switches and Wi-Fi too?
Yes. We can supply and set up the active equipment and the Wi-Fi as part of the same project.
